God: the most popular factor believed to be a panacea to every human problem by a good percentage of humans. For some it is the most powerful thing ever known and it's an energy for others, for few its the reason behind everything around the sun while some call it just a non-sense propaganda and few others are least concerned of what it is and go ahead with their life..
The existence and description of God is always a matter of debate like whether it is something that really exists or its just a hypothetical phenomenon , whether it can be properly defined or can it be defined as anything which people like it to be(its form, shape, size, living, non-living, both, neither, etc etc), how powerful is God and what does God mean and the most important is who certifies it :) .
Irrespective of questions on God's existence and questions on the presence of God in any living form, albeit none has seen the GOD till date except in trance or in dreams, the massive crowds and increased revenues of the religious places is astonishing and requires contemplation for the reasons behind it.
The reason can be either that things are working out(boons being granted) for those coming to visit God (otherwise why would they come back and how the idea markets??) which gives a proof of the powers of God and thereby it proves the existence of God..
OR
It might have been similar to a chain marketing wherein if one person's problem is solved then a certain set of people get influenced and if one out of the certain set is benefited then one more set adds to the devotees. In a case where the entire population are devotees someone will always succeed and someone will always attribute it to God and the list of devotees increase. It is always easy to believe in God than putting effort after all why would anyone want to strain themselves when everything is being solved by God??? :)
If its as per the latter case then the idea would have died long ago just like the many chain marketing cash transfer schemes.
Does this mean God is really giving away what is being asked?? If so, why are there still so many people sleeping empty stomach..?? why are people dying on the name of God?? why at all are people crying etc etc etc?? If not whats keeping the God on top??
Is it the role of a silent companion who can share their darkest secrets? Is it the role of the mute listener like a pseudo psychologist who can take all the weight out of the devotees' head by listening to their every problem? Is it the role of a pseudo guardian to back every move ?? Is it a role of a tranquilizer while praying with recitations (a kind of meditation)?? Is it a fear psychosis to have a check on the societal sins and maintain societal order??...
The real question is are all these being performed by God or is it a psychological phenomenon invented to impart a state of mind where God will be playing all these roles to treat people and give peace to them?? and created the institution of religion with God as its chairman.
Another confusion is why such a great god who is believed as the creator has to take a form or has to send messengers or need a mediator to reach the people?? why God should have so many forms(idol(male and female), invisible energy, photograph, symbol etc)??
Is it because God wanted to give a form similar to that of humans so that they can see and speak to God and hence believe in God?? Or a symbol or a small photograph convenient for portability and mark his presence everywhere a human can reach and perform the role there?? Or is it that God wanted to be available in whatever form a human can imagine so as to be a role player in everybody's creative form, shape, state?? (male, female, natural force, a sheperd, a gravekeeper, a common man, a natural force, a warrior, a revolutionary, a fellow human, x y z bla bla bla).. Or is it that they need an icon that represents them and they can fight on their supremacy on the name of that icon
Why does God or Gods different from one another?? why does they divide different religions differently??
Is it similar to every different person has a different house plan to build, Gods also have similar plans on organizing their societies?? Or is it that the differently organised societies chose different forms of Gods and later have been exchanging their ideas??
No matter what the answers are, there seems to be no problem with God that has been doing good where ever present however, the societies all over the world has been witnessing problems everyday every minute with God. Is it a clash between the Gods over supremacy or is it the clash of supremacy of the humans to prove their chosen form as supreme?? Is this clash of supremacy leading to conversions race, religious terrorism, exploitation by smart on the name of religion, working out business(specially oil and arms) keeping religion as a protective cover?? Is this an attempt to conquer culturally and enslave people??
And whose supremacy is being fought?? is it the peoples? or the God's representatives' supremacy need being projected as peoples' need??
If God is so supreme, so powerful, omnipresent, the greatest etc, God must be able to hear every one understand everyone then why does someone need a mediator to reach God in any form in any religious building?? are they needed as guardians of the religious places to serve people ?? or are they needed as the monitors on behalf of God to help God in his activities so that they are doing the service to the supreme?? If so who appoints them and who monitors their conduct??
Just like how the market takes care of a business here the devotees take care of the running of these religious institutions. after all people buy products because they need them and sometimes they buy even if they don't need them attracted by professional advertisements and sometimes following the crowd even if they are not in need of a product at all and sometimes out of the fear of something which might harm them(like a vaccine to a disease that doesn't exist at all) though there ain't any real harm they are least bothered about who is earning how much on the products they are buying, they are also similarly maintaining the religious places..
Bringing facts to the people can seem to be a possible solution but as long as the world exists the weak exists and the paranoia being a characteristic of weak is always prone to such attractions :).
In-spite of the revolutions like bhakti movement which advocated the elimination of mediators between God and humans there still exists the self proclaimed representatives of God. after all as long as the customers exist the business runs so is the case here and any kind of societal corrections go in vain. As long as the society tries to correct the good and bad from time to time, there are enough clever armies to redefine and feed the society with their defined goods and bads :)
However it must be admitted that these self proclaimed representatives are the most intelligent people in the world who are able to control such a population on the name of God. After all a clever power mongerer always senses the societal needs and cash on them.
Realization that 'all humans came from if not one lineage a similar lineage and what matters is the peace of all' cannot be expected as long as there is a greed for supremacy.. and greed is a general human nature.. after all we cant expect everyone to leave away greed and become saints.. may be expecting that might turnout into another religion.
P.S I believe in God in humans not the one in buildings :)
